MATERIALS & SEWING TECHNIQUES


Because, this is what CoverMe bags are all about!


All the bags are sewed on PFAFF, a special industrial sewing machine, with an IPCABOND CB 40 FILAMENT BONDED NYLON THREAD. It's the little things that make us different.

As for sewing the custom made plane color scheme on the bags, we are using the latest sewing techniques with DMC® threads.


We are using 3 layers on our bags,

The first ;
600X600 72T DENIER NYLON with PVC coating, to harden the fabric and to prevent water and humidity for coming in, as an outer layer.
A 0.15 mm (0.005") color matched PVC backing and urethane coating.

Total thickness of 0.55 Cm (0.22").


These are the base colors we are using to structure the bags, your plane color scheme is sewed on top of these main colors and by that you get even more durability and strength yet flexibility and lightness.

Main colors,
We use them as a base color and fabric for the bags.


Scheme Colors,
We sew these colors on the base colors in order to get your right plane color scheme.


The CAMO will be available soon.

The second;
FLEECE, to prevent scratches and to cushion the bags and covers, as an inner layer.

Total thickness of 0.5 Cm (0.2")
.
The color is an Orange flying jacket (other colors will be available soon).

*The third;
When we sew the bags we put on each exterior side wall of every bag an extra layer of 4mm sponge, to cushion it, on the internal side wall of every bag there are already 4 layers of fabric because of the bags design, so there is no need to cushion them too.(*on CoverMe™ DWS ™ and SB/SCS™).

On the BSS™ and The bolt magnet™ we are using Industrial sticky Velcro® brand.




With this combination of fabrics we have achieved strength flexibility lightness and durability. (Average weight to one 100cc Wing bag is about 2.5-3.5Lb+-).
In our opinion this is all you need to protect your wings.
If you request, we can add an extra 1-3mm cushion of High density foam for more protection at an additional cost (not laminated).

We are not using laminated fabrics because we believe on a hand made Wing bags.
The special design of the bags are using the GAP in between the two fabrics(Fleece and Nylon) to "catch" the AIR and by that to give more protection to the wings, stabs, rudder etc...
This way you will have a light and not clumsy bags.

We are also using special sewing techniques to add more strength, durability and beauty to the bags like;

Double locking stitching.


Taping the edges.


Box Stitch.


Fastex
